Best buy " I don't like singling out individual players, but I was particular proud to sign David James from Aston Villa. He was a current England international and had offers from other clubs but chose West Ham United because he felt we was going places."
Missed star " I wouldn't say regret, but sometimes wish I had the resources to compete for the world's best players- such as Ronaldo and Jimmy Hasslebaink."
Skills to be a star " Skill, commitment and character. I like to sign players with stable backgrounds. "
